About the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certification
- The PMI-ACP certification is managed by the Project Management Institute (PMI®)
- Since 2011, the PMI-ACP certification has become one of the most widely recognized global credentials available, for professionals who implement Agile methodologies.
Requirements in attaining the PMI-ACP certification:
- Education: At a minimum, A high school diploma is required.
- General project experience
- 2000 hours (a minimum of 12 months) working on project teams earned within the past 5 years
- Agile project experience
- 1500 hours (a minimum of 8 months) working on agile project teams or in agile methodologies within the last 3 years.
- Project Management Education: 21 PMI contact hours of accredited education
PMI-ACP Exam Details
The PMI-ACP exam is designed to objectively assess and measure project management and Agile knowledge.
- The certification exam is offered in a computer-based testing (CBT) environment.
- There are 120 total multiple-choice questions which make up the PMI-ACP exam
- 20 randomly placed “pre-test questions” are included, and do not count towards the pass/fail determination
- Individuals have 3 hours to complete the exam
- While PMI does not publish a precise passing score, individuals should assume a score of 65% is required (65 of 100 questions)
